First 24-48 Hours: The Crucial Setting Period

Your lash adhesive needs time to fully cure, so during the first 24-48 hours, avoid:

Water and Steam – No showers, swimming, saunas, or heavy sweating

Touching or Rubbing – Let the extensions set without disturbance

Sleeping on Your Face – Try to sleep on your back to prevent lashes from bending

Daily Lash Care Routine

Keep Them Clean – Wash your lashes daily with a lash-safe, oil-free cleanser to remove buildup, oils, and debris.

Brush Daily – Use a clean spoolie brush to gently separate and fluff your lashes every morning.

Avoid Mascara & Eyeliner – Especially waterproof formulas, as they can weaken the adhesive and cause premature shedding.

Eyelash Extensioms are not recommended for :

While eyelash extensions are a great way to enhance your natural beauty, they may not be suitable for everyone. You may not be an ideal candidate if you: Have Extremely Sensitive Eyes or Allergies – If you’re prone to severe reactions to adhesives, latex, or cyanoacrylate-based products, lash extensions may cause irritation or allergic reactions. A patch test is recommended for those with concerns.

Rub or Touch Your Eyes Frequently – If you have habits like excessive eye rubbing, frequent face touching, or suffer from conditions like trichotillomania, extensions may not last as long and could lead to irritation or damage.
Have Certain Eye Conditions – Conditions like blepharitis (chronic eyelid inflammation), conjunctivitis (pink eye), or recurring styes can make wearing extensions uncomfortable and increase the risk of infection.
Have Very Weak or Sparse Natural Lashes – While hybrid or volume lashes can add fullness, if your natural lashes are extremely weak, brittle, or damaged, extensions may not bond well or could cause further stress. A lash serum or lash lift might be a better alternative.
Have a Low-Tolerance for Maintenance – Lash extensions require regular fills (every 2-3 weeks) and daily care, including gentle cleansing and avoiding oil-based products. If you prefer a completely low-maintenance routine, a lash lift and tint might be a better option.
Are Pregnant or Have Sensitivities to Lying Down for Long Periods – While pregnancy doesn’t automatically disqualify you, lying still for an extended period may be uncomfortable in later stages, and hormonal changes can sometimes affect lash retention.
Individuals who cannot remove their contact lenses with ease -It’s important to remove contact lenses before getting lash extensions to prevent irritation, dryness and discomfort. during the application, your eyes are closed for an extended period and the adhesive fumes or slight pressure on the eyelids can cause dryness or make contacts feel uncomfortable. Additionally, if any adhesive particles come into contact with your lenses, it can lead to irritation or contamination. For optimal comfort and eye health, its best to wear glasses to your appointment and wait until after the service to out your contacts back in.
